Conference Language    
The official language of the conference is English and all printed materials will also be published in English.

Visa
Citizens of countries which have reciprocal visa exemption agreements with Korea are not required to have a visa to enter Korea for a short stay. Usually visitors with confirmed outbound tickets may stay in Korea for up to 15 days without a visa. Citizens of all other countries must obtain a visa from a Korean embassy or consulate prior to entering Korea.

Tax & Tipping
Value-added Tax (VAT) is levied on most goods and services at a standard rate of 10% and is included in the retail price. Tipping is not a traditional Korean custom. A 10% service charge is added to your bill at all tourist hotel and 3~10% at some big restaurants.

Currency

Business Hours
Government office hours are usually from 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and closed on weekends, although from November through February they close at 17:00. Banks are open from 9:30 to 16:30 on weekdays and closed on weekends. Most private businesses open at anywhere from 08:30 to 10:00 and close in the evening.

Climate
Korea enjoys four seasons and different types of weather : spring, summer, autumn and winter. Korea is located in the East Asian Monsoon belt. The peninsula has hot, humid summers and long, dry, cold winters. Spring and autumn are rather short, but very pleasant with crisp weather and many days of sunshine. Average temperature in November is around 9 ° C-13 ° C. The autumn period is a time of little rain and cool temperatures and might be the best time to visit Korea.

Credit Cards
All major credit cards, American Express, Diners Club, Visa, Master Card, are widely accepted in Korea.

Electricity
The electrical supply is 220 volts AC/60 cycles. Most hotels may provide outlet converters for 110 and 220 volts. Always check the power supply before using your equipment.

Mobile Phone
Mobile phone can be rented at the airport or at major hotels. To apply for a mobile phone rental services, you will need an identification card (passport) and a credit card.

Korean time is 9 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+9).
